PEEK as a special engineering plastic has been widely used in many engineering fields. To improve the thermal properties and mechanical properties and tribological performance and processing properties of the composites by various means benefit reducing its cost and farther expanding its applications. Recent research achievements of PEEK
chemical modification and physical modification including fibre reinforcing
inorganic fillers
surface modification
blending
have been reviewed in this article. The wide applications in the field of industry
electronics
aviation
automobile and medicine
were summarized briefly. In the end
the paper also provided a prospect for the questions and solutions in the terms of PEEK modification.
