The microstructure and dynamics determine the final physical and chemical properties of macromolecules
and are of typical multiple length and time scale. The characterization of multi-scale structure and dynamics of polymers and their evolution at different length and time scale
and hence elucidation of their structure-property relationship is still a challenge in polymer science. Nowadays
solid-state NMR is a powerful tool in investigating the hieratical structure and complex motion in solid polymers at length scale from atom to 100 nm and time scale from 10
-7
to 10s
and in elucidating the structure-property relationship. In this article
we will review the comprehensive multi-scale solid-state NMR techniques that we systematically constructed recently
and the application of these techniques in the study of polymer microstructure
