Synthesis of p-Cresol Modified Hypercrosslinked Resin and its Adsorption Performances for p-Nitroaniline
The objective of this work was to study the adsorption performances for p-nitroaniline onto the p-cresol hyper-cross-linked resin (denoted GQ-03). GQ-03 resin was synthesized with chloromethylated polystyrene and p-cresol by Friedel-Crafts reaction. Dichloroethane was used as solvent. The results showed that the BET surface area of GQ-03 resin was up to 1154. 45m

/g. Only microporous and mesoporous were present in GQ-03 resin and there were no macropores in the polymeric adsorbent. The adsorption property of p-nitroaniline onto the GQ-03 resin was superior to commercial NDA- 88 resin

XAD-4 resin and H103 resin. The maximum adsorption capacity of GQ-03 resin emerged the pH range of 3. 1-8. 0. . The resin could be desorbed with 8. 8BV 80% ethanol and lmol/L hydrochloric acid. The desorption rate was 98. 82%.
