Effect of irradiation cross-linking on anti-dripping property of PA6 fibers with the presence of TAC was studied. At the dose of 100kGy in N2 atmosphere
the gel content arrived at 63.23% where the flame drops decreased from 13 to 6. The reason for anti-dripping was investigated from the view of flaming phenomena
thermo gravimetric analysis and dynamic flammability test. Irradiation cross-linking strengthened the melt viscosity
increased the residue char at 600℃ and the peak of heat release rate
slowed down the flame drops for the char-forming in condense phase.
