Copolymerization of APEG and MA and Determination of Monomer Reactivity Ratio
With allyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (APEG) and maleic anhydride (MA) as the monomer

synthesis of P(APEG-co-MA) by free radical polymerization under the 65℃. Using gel permeation chromatograph measurement allyl alcohol polyethylene glycol ether and maleic anhydride copolymer composition
then use F-R method
K-T method and YBR method for the calculation of the reactivity ratio by experimental data. The results showed that
allyl alcohol polyethylene glycol ether and maleic anhydride reactivity ratio respectively are r1=0.33090
r2=0.04761 under the condition of the low conversion rate. Compared with maleic anhydride
allyl alcohol polyoxyethylene is more likely to tend to gather
and the poly maleic anhydride basic will not occur.
