Synthesis of Well-Defined Fluorinated Block Copolymers by Living Polymerization
Well-defined fluorinated block copolymers have received much attention recently because they exhibit excellent and unique chemical and physical properties
and various promising applications are expected. Fluorinated block copolymers can be classified into two types
one is side chain fluorinated block copolymers and the other is main chain fluorinated block copolymers. Living polymerization is an important method to synthesize block copolymers with well-defined structure
controlled molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution. Different fluorinated block copolymers can be synthesized by different living polymerization processes according to the monomers. This article mainly reviews the recent progresses in the synthesis of well-defined fluorinated copolymers.
