Optical active synthetic polymers were widely applied based on their chiral structure.The most practical and extensive application of them was using as chiral stationary phases (CSP) in high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for the resolution of enantiomers.Recently
optical active synthetic polymers have become necessary separation materials in the fields of synthetic chemistry
analytical chemistry and pharmaceutics.In this paper
the resolution method of enantiomers by CSP in HPLC was briefly introduced.The progress and application of synthetic polymers
which included addition polymers
eapecially polymethacrylates and polymethacrylamide
polyamides and other synthetic polymes
in CSPs for HPLC were reviewed in detail
as well as the future prospect of this field was outlined.
