Exploration of Flame-retardant Experimental Course Teaching Method Design Based on the College Student Innovation Project Training Program
The fixed experimental design mode of the flame-retardant experiment course makes it difficult to effectively stimulate students’ exploration and thinking about the experiment. By utilizing the model of the College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program
we overcame the limitations of traditional experimental teaching methods. Teachers provided students with alternative experimental plans
and students used database resources to search for information and write project proposals to determine the experimental plan. After the experiment
the students explored the effects of different flame-retardant system material compositions through data analysis of the experimental results
and gained a deeper understanding of the flame-retardant mechanism and its applications. The experimental course teaching in this mode integrates theoretical knowledge into the experimental plan
enabling students to deeply understand the knowledge while also stimulating their interest in and love for scientific research and innovation
laying a solid foundation for the application of innovation projects and students’ participation in scientific research work in the later stage.
