Bio-based polymers derived from renewable resource. It has considerable economical and environmental value. Both tung oil and rosin are important renewable resources in our country. In the times of converting biomass into chemical raw materials due to the environmental pollution and diminishing petroleum oil reserves
they have been widely used in polymeric materials synthesis and modification. The research on bio-based thermosetting resin has considerable value and bright future. In this paper
the research status of tung oil and rosin being used to synthesize bio-based epoxy or curing agents was reviewed.
