Electrospinning of polymer solutions has gain much attention in the recent years since it is one of the most effective and straightforward method to produce nanofibers.The electrospinning technique is still at the experimental stage due to its complexities in the process.The basic issues for electrospinning technique to have a great significance in the process parameters and equipment manufacturers lie in sophisticated mathematical and mechanical models.In this paper
we summarize the research progress on theoretical models of electrospinning
especially for electrospinning jet models.The prospect of the electrospinning theoretical models is forecasted as well.
