Research Progress in Surfactant Technology of High-Solid-Content Emulsion Polymerization
One of the major aims in emulsion polymerization over the past two decades has been the ability to increase the solid content and the performance of emulsion products. A variety of emulsifiers can be used in emulsion polymerization
emulsifier also can not be used
but the latex particle surface must be hydrophilic that is to say surfactant. Therefore
the principles and techniques of emulsion can actually be attributed to the surface of the latex particles possess hydrophily namely surfactant technology. Various studies have shown that the performance of latex prepared by different emulsifiers and surfactants varies widely. Using effective surfactant technologies not only greatly improve the performance of the polymer emulsion
but also shorten the reaction time and simplify preparation process. It is reviewed that conventional emulsifier
