The copolymer compatibilizer influence strongly the morphologies and properties of immiscible polymer blands. Their functions are to enhance the adhesion and decrease the interfacial tension between two phases. This paper deals with molecular design of compatibilizers and their influences on compatibilizing effects. The recent advancements of reactive and nonreactive copolymer compatibilizers also are discussed separatelly.
