Absrtact: A dielectric elastomer is a material that can be deformed by applying a voltage to both ends thereof. Silicone-based dielectric elastomers have attracted much attention due to their high speed response
free preparation
and wide temperature range. The electric constant is low
the excitation electric field strength is high
and the electro-induced deformation is small
which restricts its development. Therefore
in view of these problems
nano-TiO2/silicone rubber composites were prepared by solution mixing method with liquid silicone rubber as the matrix and nano-TiO2 as filler. The dielectric properties and electro-deformation properties were tested. By adding nano-TiO2 to the polymer matrix
the dielectric constant is increased
the dielectric loss is reduced
and a large electro-induced deformation can be obtained.
