This review focused on the latest research progress in the design of novel structures
synthetic strategies and applications of SPOPs. The syntheses of SPOPs could be achieved by several ways
such as using contorted monomers
hyper-branched polymerization strategy
polymerization in confined space and so on. It’s worth mentioning that all the contorted monomers used for building up porous polymers have been summarized
and the corresponding novel structures of SPOPs have been collected in this review. The applications of SPOPs based on their specific structures have been developed
which included selective separation of gases
new strategies of heterogeneous catalysis and energy materials. By tuning the pore size
functional groups and membrane morphology carefully
the properties of SPOPs have exceeded those of traditional commercial polymers. It is predictable that
more attention will be attracted towards the research in the field of SPOPs in the near future
especially when the structural diversity development is concerned
as well as novel polymerizations towards them and expanding their new applications. And it will be the research hot topics in the field of porous materials.
