Chemical reaction rate and chemical reaction progress are very similar concepts and knowledge
and closely related to each other at the same time. They describe the extent of change at a macro level or superficial level
but both have completely different nature
one is dynamic quantity
the other is thermodynamic quantity; one is microscopic property and the other is macroscopic property. By analyzing the free radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA)
