-APP wool fabric are fabricated by depositing alternately negatively charged GO and positively charged branched polyethylenimine (bPEI) and spraying a layer of ammonium polyphosphate (APP) on the wool surface. The results of flame retardant property analysis
thermogravimetric analysis
thermal conductivity test and antibacterial property analysis show that the flame retardant and antibacterial properties of the wool fabric modified by (GO/bPEI)
n
-APP were significantly improved. The limit oxygen index of (GO/bPEI)
7
-APP modified wool fabric was 30%
and the antibacterial rate against S. aureus was 47%. After reducing GO to rGO
the amount of APP adsorbed on the surface increased. The limit oxygen index of (rGO/bPEI)
7
-APP modified wool fabric reached 35%
and the antibacterial rate against S. aureus was up to 64%.
