Application Exploration of BOPPPS‑MOOC+ Mixed Teaching Model in Polymer Physics——Taking Crystalline Structure of Polymer Materials as an Example
“Polymer Physics” is a core fundamental course for the major of polymer materials and engineering
and plays a key connecting role in the professional knowledge system. Meanwhile
this course is of great significance in cultivating students’ scientific thinking
consolidating their professional theoretical foundation
and improving their engineering practice and comprehensive application abilities
thus occupying an irreplaceable position in the talent training system for polymer-related majors. However
as an advanced professional basic course with strong theoretically
high abstraction and great learning difficulty
the current teaching is generally plagued by problems such as low learning interest
insufficient classroom participation and inadequate cultivation of innovative thinking among students. To stimulate learning interest
enhance classroom participation and strengthen the cultivation of students’ thinking abilities
this study introduces the BOPPPS (Bridge-in

Summary) and MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) online-offline blended teaching model. By integrating the modular teaching process of BOPPPS and the advantages of MOOC platforms
the deep integration of online and offline teaching is realized
and a blended teaching system suitable for the course of polymer physics is constructed. Taking the crystalline structure of polymer materials as a teaching case
this paper systematically expounds the design concept and implementation path of the BOPPPS-MOOC+ blended teaching model. Combined with practical classroom teaching design examples
it explores effective approaches to improve students’ classroom participation and teachers’ teaching efficiency
so as to provide a referential and replicable practical paradigm for the teaching reform of polymer-related professional courses.
