composed of various D-glucopyranose structural units
are conically shaped molecule with tubular configuration derived from cyclic arrangement of the D-glucopyranose units. Theirs unique structures of exo-hydrophilicity and endo-hydrophobicity determine particular performances. Currently cyclodextrins and theirs derivatives are the most widely used in pharmacy
while less report occurs in treatment of environmental pollutants. The paper refers to the influence factors of cyclodextrins inclusion between theirs frameworks and pollutants
the methods to prepare cyclodextrin derivatives
reviews of their up-to-date researches on the treatment of polluted water
soil and atmosphere. It is proposed that they have a better application prospects in environmental treatment aspects
and the future research direction on environmental treatments is put forward.
