environment-friendly and natural biodegradability. Among these various natural fibers
bamboo fiber which is not only abundant in resource and excellent in mechanical properties
but also has natural performances of antibacterial
deodorant
moisture absorption and desorption
UV resistance
was widely used in fabrication of such above mentioned composites. In this paper
the recent research status and development trend on properties of reinforced fiber and matrix
modification methods for bamboo fiber and degradable resins
fabrication technology
performance evaluation on physical-mechanical and degradation characteristics were reviewed in home and abroad. Furthermore
future investigating and developing trends in this field were prospected.
