The organic-inorganic nanocomposite films were fabricated by the polystyrene (PS) grafting onto the vinyltriethoxysilane modified titanium oxide nanopowders using free radical polymerization. The morphology of the films and the structure of the PS grafted titanium oxide (PS-g-TiO

) were examined by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The wetting properties of the vinyltriethoxysilane (VTEOS) modified titania nanopowders were investigated. The superhydrophobic VTEOS modified and PS-g-TiO
2
films show the maximum static water contact angle of 160° and 154°
