Since step-growth polymerization (SGP) has quite wide application in many fields
and usually the molecular weight of polymers obtained by SGP is gradually increased
more and more importance has been attached to the synthesis of novel polymer materials via SGP. According to the different types of SGP
the research progress of SGP in recent years
especially the polycondensation used in synthesis of polyesters and etc
the polyaddition of diisocyanate monomers and the polyaddition via click reaction are reviewed. In order to further obtain polymers with fine properties
desirable molecular weight and ideal structure by simple preparation method in the future
it is necessary for the SGP research to strengthen the theoretical study
design the monomers with new structure and fully develop the corresponding new synthetic technologies for STG.
