Antimicrobial polymeric quaternary phosphonium salt is characterized by safety and high efficiency. It will not penetrate into human body through skin and be invalidated by photolysis. Through molten extrusion
the concentration gradient of homemade novel antimicrobial polymeric quaternary phosphonium salt were mixed with the matrix material (low density polyethylene
LDPE)
and the antibacterial plastics were prepared. The influences of different antimicrobial concentration on the melting properties and antibacterial properties of the plastics were studied
and the biological safety of the plastics was discussed. It was indicated that the modified plastic with different concentration of antibacterial agent all have superior antibacterial activity against
S
. aureus and
E
. coli. Biosafety test illustrated that the cytotoxicity of the antibacterial plastics was 0 level and the plastics have high biosafety.
