Poly(acry acid-co-2-acrylamide-2-methyl propane sulfonic acid)(P(AA/AMPS)) was synthesized by inverse suspension polymerization(ISP).The best reaction condition of the experiment is determined by orthogonal test and single factor analysis.Systematic tests and comparison were taken at water absorption
water retention and repeated water absorption.The results show that P(AA/AMPS) possesses good performence with an absorbency for distilled water of 1753.4g/g and an absorbency for normal saline of 189.64g/g.The polymer has good quality of water retention within a range of temperature.
