Gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) can solve the problems of serious leakage and low energy density of traditional batteries
which improve the safety performance of the batteries and make the batteries lighter
thinner
and shape multiport. The diameter of fiber and porosity of membranes can be controlled by electrospinning technology
the harmony of ionic conductivity and mechanical property of GPEs could be solved. The preparation and properties of polymer gel electrolytes based on poly ( vinylidene-fluoride) ( PVDF) and polyacrylonitrile ( PAN ) nano-fiber non-woven were specially presented
respectively. The problems being overcomed and research prospects of gel polymer electrolytes by electrospun fibrous membranes for Li-ion battery were discussed.
