Polyethylene pipe is important for the transportation of gas
water supply and drainage. However
the diversification of the service environment leads to the inevitable aging of polyethylene pipes. Therefore
it is very important to study the aging behavior of polyethylene pipe aging in different environments and how to prolong its service life. This paper introduces the influencing factors of aging of polyethylene materials
the main mechanism of aging of polyethylene pipes and the main research methods of aging of polyethylene pipes. The recent research progress on the thermal aging behavior and stress cracking behavior of PE pipes has been reviewed. It is of great importance for prolonging the service life of PE pipes
and it provides a reference for the application of PE pipe in engineering field.
