In order to further improve the flame retardant performance of silicone rubber (SR)
the surface modification of silicon powder (SF) was carried out with silane coupling agent. The surface morphology of SR composite was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM).The mechanical properties
flame retardant properties and smoke suppression properties of SR composite were studied by LOI
horizontal and vertical test
cone calorimeter (CCT)
smoke density test (SDT) and other means. The results showed that the mechanical properties of SR with modified SF were significantly improved when the same quality SF or modified SF was added. Among them
21%(wt) modified SF/SR composite has the best mechanical and flame retardant properties. Compared with pure SR
the LOI of modified SF/SR composite increased by 15%
