With the development of the high-tech information era
we have put forward higher requirements for the performance of secondary batteries. As one of the key components of the battery
the separator directly affects the overall performance of the battery. The traditional commercial polypropylene separator has limited the performance of the battery due to its low electrolyte wettability and poor thermal stability. Therefore
modification of the polypropylene battery separator is an important method to obtaining a high performance battery. In recent years
researchers have modified the polypropylene separators by surface coating
surface grafting and constructing multilayer structure to improve the performance of batteries. This paper introduces the latest research progress of the modification of polypropylene separator.
