"Polymer-based composites" is an important basic course for the students majoring in polymer materials and engineering in many domestic universities. The traditional teaching method focused mainly on imparting basic concepts
theories
and methods
but ignored the training of the problem-solving ability and innovation thinking. To change this teaching situation
Case-based teaching method was introduced in the teaching process of "Polymer-based composites"
combining with the characteristics of the composite materials. The students were encouraged to analyze and solve problems independently. The teaching reform practice shows that Case-based teaching method is helpful in cultivating students' innovative mind and improving their abilities to solve engineering practice problems.
