A new type of hyper-crosslinked porous organic polymer FDA-PP5 was synthesized by one-step polymerization of Friedel-Crafts alkylation using pillar[5]arene as polymerization monomer and formaldehyde dimethyl acetal (FDA) as cross-linking agent. The polyhydroxyl functional porous polymer FDA-PP5-OH was further modified by demethylation. The results showed that the surface wettability and specific surface area of FDA-PP5-OH increased with the introduction of hydroxyl groups. The adsorption experimental results show that the adsorption processes of the two polymers for methylene blue
neutral red
methyl orange and tetracycline are in accordance with the Langmuir adsorption model
and the hydroxyl functionalized FDA-PP5-OH has larger saturated adsorption capacity and faster adsorption rate.
