In this paper

the research works on ionic conducting polymer networks have been reviewed as these polyelectrolytes exhibited both quite good ionic conductivity at ambient temperature and mechanical properties. The relationship between the conductivity and structure of those polymer networks as well as the mechanism of ion mobility in the conducting pathway were alsp discussed. Most of the fun damental concepts deduced from those electrolyte networks could be therefore used to explain the experimental behaviours observed in the polymer eleectrolytes based on the poly (ethylene oxide).
