Progress on the Study of Cyclodextrin-containing Polymers
Cyclodextrins(CDs) are well known for their ability to form inclusion complexes with a variety of compounds
and they have been widely used in several fields such as analytical chemistry(chromatography
fluorescence)
thermochemistry
pharmaceutical and food industries
and wastewater treatment.Cyclodextrincontaining polymers(CDPs) are also found to have the selective inclusion ability
the controlled release ability and the catalysis ability. In addition
they exhibit various physical properties that have been impossible to obtain with CDs.This lends CDPs to much attention.Progress in the preparation method and application of cyclodextrin- containing polymers was reviewed in this paper.
