Progress in Effect of Additives in DNA Separation by Capillary Electrophoresis
The capillary electrophoresis (including capillary array electrophoresis--CAE and microchip electrophoresis--MCE) using non-gel sieving matrices is one of the most important techniques for DNA separation. Addition of certain additives into low viscous non-gel sieving matrices is an efficient and simple method to overcome the difficulty of filling capillaries and enhance DNA separation. This paper reviews the effect of additives (such as polyhydroxy compounds
montmorillonite clay
gold nanoparticles (GNPs)
PEGylated-latex) on improved DNA separation by capillary electrophoresis in non-gel sieving matrices.
