Poly (ethylene oxide) -poly (propylene oxide) -poly (ethylene oxide) triblock copolymers have been investigated widely due to their excellent biological compatibility and protein-resistant properties in applications as biomedical materials. Temperature-dependent micellization and thermo-reversible gelation are two of the most characteristic properties of aqueous PEO-PPO-PEO block copolymer solutions. PEO-PPO-PEO is found to be a drug delivery system with multiple effects. The incorporation of drug into the core of the micelles formed by PEO-PPO-PEO results in increased solubility
metabolic stability and circulation time for the drug. This Paper described the use of such copolymers for drug delivery system and tissue engineering in some detail.
