A new cellulose ether ester carboxymethyl cellulose acetate butyrate ( CMCAB) was synthesized by alkalization
etherification of big liquor ratio and partial homogeneo us esterification reaction. The structure and thermal properties of CMCAB was analyzed by
1
H-NMR
FTIR
XRD
TG and DSC
and surface tension of CMCAB solution and rheology of CMCAB water dispersions were also studied. The hydrophilic carboxy group in CMCAB molecular chain was well distributed. CMCABs had low crystallinity and good thermal stability
and Tg were about 110 ℃.As quantity of acetyl increased and quantity of butyryl decreased
Tg of CMCAB deceased
while crystal form and thermal stability changed little. Structure of CMCAB had little influence on surface tension of solution. CMCAB water dispersions exhibited good thixotropic property.
