Transplanted tumor model is a commonly used in vivo tumor model. However

it requires a high concentration of tumor cells. Considerable cells are easier to be collected by using three-dimensional (3D) culture technology than traditional two-dimensional culture technique. In this study

zein porous microcarriers were prepared for expanding tumor cells to construct a reliable tumor model. The experimental results show that the cells have good adhesion ability on the microcarriers

and the porous microcarriers have higher cell density than the nonporous microcarriers prepared from the same material. The microcarriers can apply in the construction of transplanted tumor models.
