Study on Structure and Luminescence Properties of Polysiloxane with Aggregation-induced Emission
Polysiloxanes with aggregation-induced Emission(AIE) have non-traditional conjugated groups
and silicon imparts excellent photophysical properties and outstanding biocompatibility. In recent years
we have reported a series of hyperbranched and linear polysiloxanes containing double bonds
hydroxyl groups
amine groups and epoxy groups
and found some variety rules between the luminescence properties and its structure of polysiloxanes. However
it is still a challenging to explore the emission mechanism and reveal the relationship between structure and luminescence properties of polysiloxanes. In this paper
a series of factors affecting the luminescence properties of polysiloxane are discussed
and its emission mechanism is explained by density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT)
then the concept of "Silicon Bridge Enhanced Emission" (SBEE) is proposed. At last
the polysiloxanes application is described briefly
and the future research directions of polysiloxanes are pointed out.
