Optoelectronic polymers are widely application in polymer light-emitting diodes (PLEDs)
polymer solar cell
polymer laser
polymer field-effect transistor due to their excellent optoelectronic property
easily structural modification and their flexibility and convenient
also defined as fourth-generation polymer. Similar to the traditional polymer
the properties and applications of optoelectronic polymers are dominated by their hierarchical structure
such as short range structure (molecular structure)
long-range structure (molecular behavior and conformational transition)
third level structure (condensed structure) and high level structure (multi-condensed structure to induce novel properties and behaviors for outstanding applications). This review also summarizes recent progresses in studies of the hierarchical structure in optoelectronic polymer
and proposes that it is a key strategy to improve performance
