Study of the Glass Transition Temperature (Tg) as the Series Connection in Polymer Physics Teaching
is a core basic course for the specialties of polymer chemistry and physics
polymer materials and related materials
and also behaves as a necessary cornerstone course for the follow-up professional courses. Polymer physics
as an interdisciplinary subject
involves a large number of mathematics
physics
and chemistry knowledge
and exhibits characteristics of much more contents and points
complex and abstract theory
lack of systematicness and integrity
which makes it very difficult for students to learn
master and use. Therefore
in this paper a teaching method of using glass transition temperature (
T
g
) as the series connection was introduced in polymer physics teaching. To be specific
by using the concept of glass transition temperature (
T
g
) and the relationship between the internal molecular chain movement with conformation (flexibility) change and external macroscopic properties as series connection to help college students quickly learn and master the basic knowledge of polymer physics
and establish a systematic polymer knowledge framework system.
