Preparation and Evaluation of UV Cross-linked Marine Collagen/Hyaluronic Acid Composite Hydrogel
Starfish have strong regenerative abilities and are rich in collagen (SSC) in their body walls. Using methacrylated hyaluronic acid (HAMA) and methacrylated collagen (SSCMA) as raw materials
combined with marine source Chlorella growth factor (CGF)
the composite hydrogel was prepared by ultraviolet cross-linking method
and the mechanical properties
swelling properties
degradation properties and microstructure of the composite hydrogels were analyzed
and the toxicity and proliferation effects of the composite hydrogels on cells were also verified. The SSCMA/HAMA/CGF composite hydrogels were observed by scanning electron micros-copy to have an obvious pore-like structure
and the mechanical properties of the hydrogels were also improved with the increase of the HAMA ratio. When the addition amount of HAMA is 60%
the swelling rate of the composite hydrogel within 24 h is the largest
which can reach about 5 times of its own weight. After 30 days of degradation
SSCMA/HAMA/CGF-75 undergoes the greatest amount of degradation. SSCMA/HAMA/CGF composite hydrogel has no toxic and side effects on mouse epidermal fibroblasts (L929)
shows good cytocompatibility
and has obvious proliferation effect on mouse embryonic fibroblasts (NIH-3T3)
among which SSCMA/HAMA/CGF-60 had the highest cell proliferation rate
