In response to the evolving demands of national productivity and industrial development
there is an urgent need for a significant number of high-level
interdisciplinary professionals with strong innovative and practical skills. To address this need
the polymer materials and engineering program at Yanshan University has implemented comprehensive teaching reforms. These reforms focus on integrating ideological and political education into the curriculum
fostering project-based learning that combines scientific and educational elements
a quality management system for teaching has been established. These initiatives have not only reinforced the theoretical foundation but have also enhanced innovative practices
creating a pathway for cultivating talent with strong practical abilities. As a result
the program has successfully improved students' professional competencies
innovative capabilities
and their ability to tackle complex problems. This model of teaching reform holds potential for broader application in the training of professionals across various fields.
