we repoted our efforts in the development of polyoxometalate-polymer hybrids (PPHs) using new polymerization methods. It is worthy to point out that the polyoxometalate clusters are covalently linked with polymers in the PPHs. Our target is to prepare a high value-added PPH materials with functionalities of polyoxometalates and processability of polymers. In our work we have desgined and sythesized two kinds of PPHs using atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and clicking reaction
respectively. Meanwhile we studied the self-assembled structures and morphologies of the PPHs that strongly affected by the special architecture of polyoxometalates. This work reflects an interdiscipline of polyoxometalate chemistry
polymer chemistry and supramolecular self-assembly. Our findings will provide a new pastway in creating novel functional materials.
