Sodium alginate is a natural biodegradable material
widely used in the medical field because of its good biocompatibility
film-forming
moisture absorption and ion-crosslinked gel properties. Preparation of sodium alginate composite nanofibers is helpful to improve the properties and expand the applications of sodium alginate. This paper introduces the development of sodium alginate composite nanofibers preparation by electrospinning in recent years at home and abroad
focusing on research and application of the SA/PEO
SA/PVA
SA/Glycerol
SA/gelatin and SA/Chitosan composite nanofibers in the fields of wound dressings
tissue engineering scaffolds
drug release systems. The potential applications and prospect of sodium alginate nanofibers have also been described.
