This paper mainly introduces the status quo of researching on PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral) material properties at home and abroad. It shows that PVB is strain rate dependence and temperature sensitivity material. While strain rate increasing
elastic modulus will larger; While temperature increasing
elastic modulus and shear modulus decreased. Meanwhile
there are few experiments at home and abroad researching on the constitutive model of PVB. In general
PVB can be described as four constitutive models: linear elastic
elastic-plastic
linear viscoelastic and non-linear viscoelastic
but essentially PVB is non-linear viscoelastic materials. Different environmental conditions and computing requirements should choose different constitutive model. At present
scholars both domestic and oversea recognize using hyperelastic to consider the nonlinear
and considering the viscoelastic by a Generalised Maxwell Series.
