The Layer-by-Layer self-assembly (LbL)of polycations and polyanions into multilayers has emerged as an efficient
versatile
yet simple
technique to create biologically active surfaces .By controlling the assemble condition
bioactive molecules
such as drugs
enzymes
DNA
or proteins
may be incorporated in the multilayer during the polyelecrolyte deposition process .The LbL technique has been recognized as an important means in designing the surfaces of the biomaterials .This paper summarized the progress on the Layer-by-Layer self-assemble technique in the design of the biointerface for cardiovascular device
