The highly monodisperse polystyrene (PS) microspheres were produced by dispersion polymerization using an initiator
2
2-azobis (isobutyronitrile) (AIBN) in alcoholic media
the diameter of PS beads was4.5m. The highly monodisperse PS beads were swellen by chloroform and 1-propanol and absorbed such fluoresceins as rhodamine and acridine orange (AO). The products emitted various colors
such as red
green
blue etc.
and the range of emission wavelength was between505and 610nm
which was measured by fluorescence microscope and spectrophotometer. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis indicated that the fluoresceins were absorbed into the inner of the PS particles
and residual fluoresceins were not detected in the surface. Choosing the best groups of paralleled experiment data and using genetic algorithms (GA) method
