Metallo-supramolecular polymers are new functional polymers that are composed of monomeric units held together by kinetically stable metal-ligand interactions.The supramolecular polymers have varieties of geometric architectures and topologic structures
such as linear
grafted
networked
dendritic polymers
etc
and possess useful properties such as optical
electronic
and magnetic property
which are expected to have potential applications in many fields such as biomedicine
molecular devices
nanomaterials science
catalysis and hydrogen storage. Herein
we briefly review the progress in metallo-supramolecular polymers containing pyridine groups in recent years.
