Linker chemistry is a kind of effective approach for polymer synthesis
which possesses high activity
high yield
high selectivity
and is sensitive to the specifically groups
fits for the link or ligation of the polymers and connect with molecules.This review introduces and summarizes our progress on synthesis of functional polymers with well-defined structure via linker chemistry.The linkages include condensation reaction
ring-opening reaction
click chemistry
and reversible linkages. Finally
a proper prospect of the development of linker chemistry has been discussed.
