the interaction between Polyaniline nanorods (PANI) and Ag nanoparticle (or dendritic nanostructures) was investigated by Surface-enhanced Raman scattering ( SERS). It indicated that the molecular conformation of PANI nanorods could be changed via localized surface plasmon resonance of Ag substrate. The experimental results showed that the conjugative effect between N atoms of PANI molecule and free electrons of Ag could be induced by surface plasma resonance effect. As a result
the vibration frequency of C-H in-plane bending and C-C stretching vibration blue shifted to low wavenumber. Meanwhile
the groups onto the Ag metal surface which Raman scattering intensity increased in SERS was perpendicular to the long axis of PANI molecular
and the groups onto the Ag metal surface was parallel to the long axis of the molecules revealed by decreasing Raman scattering intensity in SERS.
