Polymer rheology is a specialized course for students who majoring in polymer science and engineering. It has a strong interdisciplinary characteristic and it serves as a key course linking polymer physics and polymer processing. It is considered to be an important part in establishing a sound undergraduate teaching-system. The paper presents an exploration of various teaching aspects on polymer rheology curriculum with an aim in improving the teaching quality. It is started in this paper with a clear indication of teaching objective based on course characteristics set in Hunan university. Several textbooks and reference materials were suggested and the structure of teaching program and contents were optimized. Diversified teaching methods were also explored to further motivate students during course study.
