their production practice meets with various difficulties. Exploring effective approaches to solve these difficulties have become the urgent problem of local universities to be solved. This paper takes Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT) for instance and analyzes its running characteristics and current status of production practice in polymer materials and engineering. A new mode for production practice of GDUT using the college union as the platform is introduced. The detailed implementation plans for this new mode are explained. The mode is based on the synergistically creative strategy and has achieved favorable results.
